So you want to make money from home on-line, the problem is so does everyone else.

Affiliate marketing is a relatively risk free way to make money online, you have very few start up costs you don't need to worry about credit card chargebacks, shipping, customer returns, suppliers, cash flow with affiliate marketing you don't need to worry about anything other than marketing you don't even need a website.

You could start a free blog, Google allow you to post adsense ads on blogger.

So how do you choose a good affiliate program?

First you need to look at yourself are you good at writing, what interests you? If your going to write a blog you need to write about something on which your knowledgeable, there are lots of people selling content for adsense websites but this won't work it won't help you achieve any page rank, why? Because everyone else is using it.

You need to write some original content if your going to be successful as an affiliate. In my opinion adsense is one of the best affiliate programs so writing unique content could (I hope) be worthwhile.

But you don't need to be writing content to have success as an affiliate.

Use Google trends to see what people are searching for

I can tell you one very popular thing people are searching for thats Forex.

You don't need a website for these types of affiliate marketing programs some people make very good money by just using adwords, thats right they pay for traffic to a website thats not even theirs. I have never tried it myself but no of people that do.

I would much rather market a website than affiliate programs, with this site I don't think of myself as an affiliate more a publisher thats sells ad space (I am creating this site as more of a challenge than a money making project).

But some people do make very good money purely by marketing affiliate programs. I think the best way to make money from affiliate programs is be getting people to give you their details and then selling them on. Never tried it myself and obviously they have to consent to you flogging their personal information.

The most important thing to remember is affiliate success won't come easy it takes work.
