The main credit reporting agencies
are Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian. They all use the same formula
to calculate your score, but each one bases the calculation on slightly
different information about your credit history. Hence, your score from
each agency is a bit different

If you've been turned down for a loan recently, the best thing to do is find out why, with a free credit report.

Why get a free credit report?
1. You'll be able to see if some fraudsters running up debt in your name.
2. If you've been refused credit you'll be able to see why and you'll see if you've got any defaults etc against your name.
