Alexa Redirects

Alexa Redirects whats the point

For about 3 Days I have redirected my url through Alexa on Mybloglog, Stumbleupon and DP it looked like the below which is ugly and is diverting linkjuice away from my url. http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?http://financial-independence.net/

I haven't seen any change in my Alexa rank at all then Lord Matt made this post SEO Basics some good points and I have to honest whats the point of jeopadising my pagerank and Search Traffic to make a few more squid from ad sales.

Thanks for making me see sense Lord Matt the Bloggers Friend who still hasn't explained to me the benefits of an ad server.

on page optimisation for your blog or website

As promised yesterday heres everything I know about on page optimisation and Meta Tags.
On page optimisation
Put Keywords in the top part of the page try to put keywords in the first sentence, use plain text, no bold, no italic and don't use any style.
Try to put Keywords in bold and italic but not the first time you use them.
Put Keywords in a H2-H4 heading like below

People say your not meant to but sometimes I use the H4 tag in the title at the top of the page and have found it to work OK.
I might try a test on a page that already ranks well like
Reclaiming Bank Charges but your not really that interested are you? I think drupal already puts the page title in H4 Tags anyway but can't be bothered to look. View my source code and let me know :) (well I have to try and get comments some how.)

This week on Financial Independence is going to be entrepreneurial week, you may have I noticed I forwarded on the SEO Project URL.

I hate submiting my site to the directories, its boring.
I have devised a plan to make link building a little less tedious, every day I am going to submit my site to a different directory and then post their link here.
If you find link building boring aswell why not subscribe to my feed, you'll get updated when I add more submissions and then you can follow me.
I hope to create a directory of web directories, and include some notes on how easy or difficult submission was.
Whats the importance of links?
Links incoming to your site are an important part of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) every time a search engine finds a link to your site from another site it counts it as a vote, the more links the more votes and the more the search engines think the better your site must be.
