Alexa Redirects whats the point

For about 3 Days I have redirected my url through Alexa on Mybloglog, Stumbleupon and DP it looked like the below which is ugly and is diverting linkjuice away from my url. http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?http://financial-independence.net/

I haven't seen any change in my Alexa rank at all then Lord Matt made this post SEO Basics some good points and I have to honest whats the point of jeopadising my pagerank and Search Traffic to make a few more squid from ad sales.

You can set up a free or paid for account, when I first started my site I was getting about 60 free Visitors a day I don't review as much now but still get a good flow of traffic.
