Buying and selling ads without the middleman

When selling link and text ads on your site you have 2 options sell ads privately or use an agency such as linkworth, textlink ads or PPP. Their are benefits too both ways of selling advertising space on your website.

Benefits of using a middleman

Using an agency or middleman means you don't have the hassles of trying to find advertisers, telling them about your site, negotiating the price and then looking after them when they keep emailing you to say their links aren't there and THEY ARE THERE.

Ad Agencies

Selling ads using a middle man means you might have to sell them slightly cheaper, all publishers sell ads at a slightly lower price to agencies even large newspapers and TV Channels they don't have the costs involved with trying to find ad buyers. Rupert Murdoch would sell you an ad cheaper if you were an agency.

I keep posting about website promotion, its what I'm doing a lot of at the moment and this part of the site is my blog where I tell what I am up to and how things are going.

Anyway this sites about money, quick cash ideas and investments. What could be a better form of investment than a website?

This sites cost me £18 thats about $35 including hosting and domain name. A bargain from ebay. The thing I am worried about is bandwidth I think the hosting account was unlimited but I am paranoid that by some miracle I'll start getting a popular site and then they'll try and rip me off.

Of course if you wanted an entirely free blog you could set up a blogger account.
