Reclaiming Bank charges update

The latest on reclaiming bank charge's

As previously discussed in bank charges what going on the Office of fair trading is to be taking 7 Major UK banks to court over unfair and unlawful bank charges (notice I say unlawful these charges are not illegal just unenforceable and unfair) I have been looking everywhere for a date when this case will be heard and cannot find one. Rest assured as soon as a date for the OFT VS Banks hearing is released I will let you know.

Should I still start a claim for my unfair bank charges?

Until the test case is heard the county courts will be unable to look at these unfair bank charge claims but if the case goes in the OFT's favour many experts are predicting a rush of unfair bankcharge claims.

This means you could be waiting even longer to get your money back from your bank, by putting in your claim now you may beat this rush of claims and get your charges back much sooner. And if you can find a no win no fee solicitor to take the case it won't cost you anything either.

Alternatively if you want to do it for yourself see my bank charge reclaim guide and remember it works with credit cards too.

You should definitely ask for more information from that bank and if you don't get the attention you need then I think you should ask for justice in a legal way. I hope I'll never have to meet such problems as I am currently enjoying no fee balance transfers and I am always careful with my credit report.

It seems that banks are loosing ground for many people today, many customers are disappointed with services and financial options. The reality is a little bit different, I think people need more financial education in order to make more accurate decisions about their finances.
